The Auction of Promises was a great success and what an amazing evening we shared. Over 80 people turned up, ate delicious food prepared by a number of fantastic volunteers and enjoyed great live music from Luke Concannon as well as learning more about the project from presentations given by Ellie and Amy. It really demonstrated what a vibrant community we are part of and was great to showcase what we have built as a project in the last year.
Our wonderful auctioneers – Tom and George – helped us raise over £4,000 in bids alone on the varying and enticing Promises on offer, with people digging deep and giving incredibly generously. Overall we raised an absolutely incredible £4,734!! The money raised will ALL go to The Willows Project and will go a very long way in helping to encourage and support more potential service users in accessing just what the project is all about, notably in the form of free taster days. Without this financial boost, the project would really struggle to be able to offer such opportunities.
HUGE thanks to Caz for organising the event and to everyone that came along on the night, supported the event, volunteered their time, gave Promises, and generally contributed to making the Auction such a wonderful success.
